Eros Raffael

Eros Raffael was born in Italy in 1970. He began working with glass at the age of fourteen, assisting the Italian chandelier-maker Mazzuccato. He then moved to Pavanello where he worked with Hans Peter Neidhardt, the glass artist and master cane worker. From 1991 through 1995 he furthered his glass education under the tutelage of Adriano dalla Valentino who worked with the world renowned Lino Tagliapietra for many years. Having learned from such masters, Eros then opened his own studio in 1996, where he has continued to experiment with canes and "millifiori."

Eros has won awards in several competitions. In 1996 he took a first prize in Padua, Italy in a contest among Venetian artists. And again in 1998 and 1999 his work was recognized with awards. He has also produced pieces for various international artists while continuing to develop his own signature pieces with glass canes.
